The margin is usually already there.
Yieldline Advisory is a specialist practice for pricing, dynamic pricing and yield management. We work with travel, aviation, foreign exchange, payments and multi-channel retail businesses to find the margin sitting inside the volume they already have — and to build the systems that keep capturing it.
Figures come from roles our leadership held directly, not from client engagements. We're happy to walk through how each was built — and to be candid about what would and wouldn't transfer to your business.
Three ways to work with us
Most companies don't need a pricing department. They need people who have run one to spend a focused period inside their numbers, then leave something working behind.
Pricing diagnostic
We go through your rate setting, margins, discounting and channel mix, and come back with the specific places money is leaking — each one sized, ranked, and paired with the change that fixes it.
Dynamic pricing & automation
Designing and standing up rules-driven or model-driven pricing: the logic, the data it runs on, the guardrails, and the automation around it — including the unglamorous part, getting the business to trust it.
Fractional pricing leadership
A few days a month owning pricing outright: strategy, governance, hiring and coaching your analysts, and being in the room when commercial decisions get made.
No long discovery phase
Pricing work pays for itself quickly or it isn't worth doing. This is the shape most engagements take.
Intro call
Forty-five minutes on what you sell, how prices get set today, and where you think the problem sits. If we're not the right people, we'll tell you that on the call.
Into the data
Transaction, margin and competitor data, plus interviews with the people who actually set and override prices. Findings go to you as they land, not held back for a final report.
Recommendations
A ranked set of changes with expected impact, effort and risk against each — and a first tranche you can put live immediately.
Build or hand over
Either we stay on to build the pricing engine and coach your team, or we hand everything over documented and step away. Both are good outcomes.
Where we're most useful
We go deep in a small number of industries rather than shallow across everything. If your pricing moves faster than your reporting can follow, we've probably seen your problem before.
Foreign exchange & currency
Spreads, fees and rate setting across branch, online, ATM and partner channels, in markets that move around the clock.
Travel & aviation
Yield management, fare and ancillary pricing, and distribution economics — including Galileo GDS and Travelport environments.
Payments & fintech
Interchange-adjacent pricing, tiering, FX margin on transfers, and the trade-off between headline rate and take rate.
Multi-channel retail
Businesses where online, store and partner pricing pull against each other and nobody owns the whole picture.
Operators, not a slide factory
We've held the P&L
Our leadership ran global pricing in-house for fifteen years, carrying the EBITDA number rather than recommending it to someone else. We know what survives contact with a sales team.
We build the thing
Python, SQL, AWS and BI tooling in-house, so recommendations arrive with a working model, engine or dashboard attached — not a deck and an implementation quote.
Senior people only
The person you meet is the person who does the work. We staff small and senior, and bring in specialist associates only where a project genuinely needs the extra depth.
What people who've worked with us say
Under his guidance the pricing team drove significant results through optimisation, innovative strategy and technologies such as RPA — routinely generating meaningful EBITDA gains.
Smart, diligent and always thinking about how to innovate and optimise pricing strategy — a strong leader who manages stakeholders well.
Before you get in touch
What does an engagement cost?
It depends on scope. Diagnostics are quoted as a fixed fee so there's no meter running; projects are milestone-based; fractional leadership is priced by days per month. You'll have a written quote before any work starts, and we won't begin without one.
How small a business is too small?
There's no revenue floor, but pricing work needs enough transaction volume for patterns to be real rather than noise. If we don't think we can find more than our fee, we'll say so at the intro call rather than sell you a diagnostic.
Do you work remotely?
Yes — we're based in Europe and work with clients across time zones. Most of an engagement runs remotely, and we travel for kick-off, key workshops and final presentations where it helps.
How do you handle our data?
We sign your NDA before receiving anything. Client data stays in your systems wherever possible; where we need extracts we agree the minimum set, hold it encrypted, and delete it at the end of the engagement.
Will you work with our competitors?
Not at the same time, and not in a way that puts your information anywhere near them. We'll flag any conflict before an engagement starts and agree an exclusivity period in writing if you want one.
What do you need from us to start?
Access to transaction and margin data, whoever currently sets prices, and one executive sponsor who can make decisions. Missing data isn't a blocker — the state of your data is itself a finding.
Tell us what you're pricing.
Your sector, your channels, and the thing that's bothering you is enough to start. We reply to everything within one business day, and the first call costs nothing.
